The second kind of stroke is caused by a small blood clot entering the brain and getting stuck there. Nattokinase, a systemic enzyme, works quickly and very effective for this type stroke. Bear in mind nattokinase is a blood thinner which can increase bleeding. So be certain which type stroke you are dealing with!
Aside from the benefical clot busting effects of nattokinase, the next issue is to help get oxygen flow to the damaged area. Cayenne pepper can help with that. Another thing that works terrific for stroke recovery is DMSO. Dr Stanley Jacobs at Oregon State University says DMSO carries oxygen deep into parts of the brain, even those areas with poor blood circulation near the area of brain damage. Google DMSO -- it has been known to help people regain their health even years after the stroke. You can take it internally and use it on the skin. This even brings back speech.
One of the biggest aids to stroke recovery is hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The brain needs high amounts of oxygen even under normal conditions. Did you know that the brain uses about 50% of the oxygen in your body? When an injury like stroke occurs poor oxygen perfusion slows healing time way down and high oxygen perfusion speeds it up. To heal in the fastest time possible, a stroke victim needs to spend as much time as possible in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.
Brain nutrition like Acetyl L Carnitine, Phosphatidyleserine, NADH (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), Taurine, and herbs like Hydergine, Vinpocitine, Skullcap, and of course all antioxidants are recommended. Gingko Biloba is a powerful brain antioxidant and improves blood flow to that organ but can induce hemorrhage in high amounts and would only be advised in moderation in prevention of disease.
Colloidal Copper It acts as an anti-inflammatory. This lowers the chances of cardiovascular diseases like heart attacks, strokes and atherosclerosis. Colloidal copper prevents aneurysm since copper produces elastin which makes our blood vessels more elastic. Copper and zinc works in conjunction with each other and should be balanced for the thyroid gland to function properly. Copper works with Vitamin C in the formation of collagen. Copper deficiencies are often seen in the elderly.
Dosage: For maintenance, a low dosage of copper is best when in a combination of with other trace minerals.
Therapeutic dosages range from 5 ml – 15 ml 1-3x per day of colloidal copper to .5 – 3 mg per day of dietary copper.
The RDA for copper is 900 mcg/day. The Daily Value is 2 mg.
Apple cider vinegar This is natural detoxifier and purifier, so it functions to cleanse the blood and body of any toxins that may contribute to the condition. Also it thins the blood and oxidizes it. I read somewhere that if ACV is taken up to 36 hours straight right after a stroke, that all symptoms would be reversed.
Coconut oil This is rich in a specific strain of medium fatty acids. These fats function to improve nutrient absorption, which improves recovery. The unique composition of coconut oil also enhances the neural passageways to improve brain functioning and recovery.
Vitamin C This is a natural antioxidant. As such, this vitamin eliminates free radicals from the body that may contribute to the condition. The vitamin also supports the replenishment of tissues and immune function. Amaranth Seed Oil Cayenne Pepper Put this in warm water (not a whole lot) - this clears blockages and balances blood pressure. And it works FAST for that stuff (as well as on blood loss, hemorrhaging etc). Even just sprinkling some on your food each day would be good.
Raw food diet
Regular exercise Peppermint essential oil This is for people who can't walk. Massage this to the leg muscles. Peppermint oil is stimulating and healing and so is massage. If you decide to try it, I would use a ratio of 1 teaspoon Peppermint Essential Oil in 1/4 cup extra virgin coconut oil massaged into affected muscles once or twice a day.

Vitamin E (natural) and CO-Q10 Dr. Mercola highly suggests the derivative of CoQ10, ubiquinol, to stave off clotting issues. Vitamin E will also give you strength because it assists in oxygen delivery.
Calcium AEP I'd be on four capsules of Calcium AEP daily to overcome the damage done by the brain blockage. Research on a great article on AEP: Google "Calcium AEP nutrition review"...
Food-grade Hydrogen Peroxide For more oxygen delivery food-grade Hydrogen Peroxide is worth considering. Read more about food-grade hydrogen peroxide here: http://educate-yourself.org/cn/hydrogenperoxidewaltergrotz20nov04.shtml http://www.foodgrade-hydrogenperoxide.com/id26.html
I wish mom was able to avail of this hydrogen peroxide therapy to treat her of her pneumonia which claimed her life 2 months ago. I'm not even sure if there are naturopaths or conventional doctors here in the Philippines who are knowledgeable or familiar with this treatment. Let me know if you know any doctors, alternative or conventional, who do this kind of therapy. Pneumonia kills a lot of senior citizens in our country.
Omega 3, 6 & 9
Look into omega 3, 6, 9...... flax, fish, borage & evening primrose! Look into coconut oil also.
Niacin Here is an interesting article by Dr. Abram Hoffer on niacin: Dr. Hoffer on Cholesterol and Niacin http://weeksmd.com/2009/01/dr-hoffer-on-cholesterol-and-niacin/ Take time to read the above article. It is a great informative read about niacin & what it does to save lives, specially lives of people with advanced age. In the article, Dr. Hoffer's conclusion is that low total cholesterol levels are merely the result of poor nutrition unless HDL is high. Using himself as an example, at age 91 his total choleserol is remarkably low but his HDL is remarkably high and he has been on niacin for the last 55 years. But the current cholesterol idea will be difficult to eradicate as it is the basis for the billion dollar industry fraud of the drug companies that love it since they can sell useless products that are also dangerous, and have be to be taken for life. Niacin will have some affect on the brain following a stroke but it will also give protection for the heart to stop another stroke. Well worth looking into.
From Ted of Bangkok:
(Ted is a very knowledgeable & highly regarded resource person in Earth Clinic website) The most important supplements is prevent future stroke by avoiding the oil and sweet foods found in fried foods, overcooked food and stick to boiled foods and steamed food. EDTA will prevent stroke by replacing the use of blood thinners and try to use baking soda and vinegar, one tablespoon, plus at least a quarter teaspoon of baking soda. Baking soda is very important to prevent stroke by improving the circulation and removing basic constipation.
The most effective whole body alkalinity is sodium citrate 1/2 teaspoon in cup of water at least at night time. Do not use any supplement that contain calcium as they will block circulation as it is deposited in the capillaries. This is why my pH book is out -- its real intention is to prevent common problems such as constipation, strokes, blood clots, sleeping problems which has to do with acid blood. 90% of all food is acidic. But chocolates, cheese, fried foods, grilled foods, french fries, sweets, honey, sweet fruits, iodized salt and supermarket salt are the most common cause of strokes. The others are too much undigested proteins and heavy metals found on inside of water faucets and metal pipes connection. They are frosted high surfaced area inside the faucet; others are grilled foods (metals gotten from the grill). The other is the way we eat food. We don't chew enough but prefer to swallow them which causes the food to get undigested and go into our blood stream clotting the blood. The way we drink water also accumulates heavy metals. We don't drink water during meals that is why. Without going into details you will find why in other postings. Mold exposure by carpets and air conditioners may lead to blood clots too. Try to lower portion size and eat more frequent meals and avoid basic meals after 6 pm & no meals 4 hours before sleeping so there is sufficient enzymes versus food. Basic simple protocol is lime or lemon juice and baking soda, and or baking soda and apple cider vinegar, or white vinegar and baking soda at least twice a day. If your doing too much you get diarrhea. Supplements to help recovery CoQ10 (ubiquinone) 400 mg, magnesium, B complex, 200 IU Natural Vitamin E, vitamin C, zinc gluconate, and hydergine being the safest. Strokes is common with high blood sugar and high blood pressure. And the best of all supplement is alkaline and N Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) 500 mg twice a day.
From Bill (Earth Clinic contributor) of San Fernando (Philippines):
Vitamin B3 or niacin opens up the veins and arteries. Niacin also works to unclump blood -- it thins the blood safely. Niacin also reduces depression and anxiety. In a recent piece of research it was found that vitamin B3 raised the effectiveness of the immune system by a factor of 2000. However, if you are also using drug blood thinners, niacin -- also a blood thinner -- may perhaps be contraindicated. If you use niacin you will have to reduce the blood thinner drugs to be safe. This is your decision. Niacin in combination with Lugols iodine also works to remove constrictions in the arteries -- it cleans the arterial walls. In the 1950s there was a special formulation -- called iodo-niacin or 2-Iodo-nicotinic acid -- which was used successfully for heart problems and arteriosclerosis in the past. Now we have statins which do very little except to vastly reduce your energy and cause diabetes (see side-effects of statins on www.drugs.com). For the full range of benefits from taking higher dose B3 -- see this link: http://www.doctoryourself.com/hoffer_niacin.html To help remove the blockage caused by the ischemic stroke you can also supplement serrapeptase or bromelain. These are protease enzymes that digest dead organic proteins and this will help to clean up arteries and veins. The serrapeptase or bromelain should be taken 3 times a day outside mealtimes because you want it in the blood -- not digesting food. There is a rather large problem in the Philippines with availability of nutrients and affordability, so I just keep the remedy simple. The high dose Vitamin C and Lysine will act to help remove the Lp(a) from the arterial walls and also help to prevent the Lp(a) from forming in the walls of the artery respectively. The nattokinase or bromelain enzymes will dissolve any blockages and should greatly help to reduce the risk of further strokes. Arterial problem should clear up within a month or two on this Vitamin C/Lysine protocol. People might not believe this, so here is Linus Pauling himself, the Nobel prize winner and the discoverer of this remedy -- who was not in the habit of lying -- talking and relating several successful testimonial cures for heart disease using just the Vitamin C and Lysine therapy: Pauling Therapy Website http://www.paulingtherapy.com/ Listen to Linus Pauling's Testimonial on his First 3 Cures Using Vit C and Lysine (Linus Pauling talking).
PREVENTION
Nattokinase is an enzyme from the Japanese food natto. It is a potent fibrinolytic which means that it dissolves the fiber, which makes the blood thick rather than thin the blood.
TESTIMONIAL A friend of mine had a transient ischemic attack (TIA). He was prescribed a blood thinner. However, an herbalist directed him to nattokinase. Four years later, no more TIA's.
CO-Q10
This is also known as Vitamin Q, is necessary for a healthy heart.
Cayenne is meant to be good for the prevention of stroke. It helps with blood flow in the body (and the brain) and is good for the arteries. It is full of nutrients and high in Vitamin C as well. Buy the organic kind.
Vitamin B6 is also excellent for preventing strokes. Dr. Ellis, of East Texas, pioneered B-6 supplementation successfully about 50 years ago. 1 tablet a day.... Google him.
Orange-colored Veggies
These include tomatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash. These colorful veggies are full of potent antioxidants, including beta-carotene, lycopene, vitamin C, fiber, and potassium. A Harvard study shows that women who eat carrots and sweet potatoes every day reduce their risk for heart attack by 22% and stroke by 40-70%. These vegetables may also prevent cancer.
Green Veggies
This include spinach, cabbage, and broccoli. These green vegetables are rich in lutein, vitamin B's, magnesium, potassium, calcium, and fiber. Most green, leafy veggies are good for the heart, stomach, and the whole body. A study shows that low levels of vitamin B6 (found in vegetables) are associated with high levels of C-reactive protein, a known marker for heart disease.
Red-colored Foods
This include strawberry, tomato sauce, grapes, and red wine. Pomegranate Pomegranates are 60% better than other juices at preventing the formation of plaque-forming oxidized LDL (the bad cholesterol) in the arteries, and has been shown to reduce build-up of plaque by up to 30% in a pilot study of 19 elderly patients with atherosclerosis. Research indicates that the high level of antioxidants found in pomegranate juice is effective in combating free radicals that may cause a number of afflictions, including heart disease, stroke, hypertension, premature aging, Alzheimer's disease and even cancer. Pomes have beneficial effects on heart disease and blood pressure - among other things. New research has found that one glass of pomegranate juice a day could improve blood flow to the heart by more than a third. The fruit's antioxidant properties prevent bad cholesterol from forming, which keeps the arteries clear and reduces the likelihood of heart attacks and strokes.
From Ted of Thailand: A stroke, can be reduced or prevented if a regular magnesium supplements, aspirin, and alkalizing, especially the use of a baking soda and lemon remedy. The baking soda is 1/2 teaspoon plus 2 tablespoon in 1/2 glass of water, taken twice a day, once in the morning and once before sleeping. Citrates reduces unnecessary calcium buildup in the body, which leads to blood clotting, and this is why a citrates is added to blood banks so that the blood recipient won't die of a stroke whenever a donor blood is received.
From: http://www.paulingtherapy.com/ Linus Pauling's specific therapy for cardiovascular and heart diseases are high dosages of two essential nutrients: vitamin C and the amino acid lysine. Vitamin C is required to strengthen arteries so that the body does not try to patch arteries with "plaster casts" (atherosclerosis). Lysine is an Lp(a) binding inhibitor, meaning at sufficient dosage it can reverse the plaster cast build-up (atherosclerotic plaques.) Lp(a) is the sticky form of LDL cholesterol that Pauling/Rath identified as the primary risk factor.
Both substances are essential foods, meaning they are both required for life (in smaller amounts). They are extremely safe in high amounts, neither has a known lethal toxic dosage. These "miraculous" dietary supplements are available in every drug store and currently do not require prescriptions from a doctor. Heart patients should be concerned with the correct dosage; exactly how much must be taken and for how long to resolve their chronic scurvy, i.e. their chronic vitamin C deficiency (also known as cardiovascular disease or CVD.)
Pauling, the founder of modern chemistry, holder of 48 honorary Ph.D.s, and the world's only 2-time unshared Nobel prize laureate, theorized that too little vitamin C elevates cholesterol levels, including the Lp(a) variant that causes narrowing of blood vessels. After Pauling learned that Lp(a) binds to strands of lysine protruding from weak and damaged blood vessels, he invented the high-lysine therapy. Read more at the site: http://www.paulingtherapy.com/
Ozone (O3) Therapy
Here is another possible way of preventing STROKE and heart diseases:
The question is is there anyone administering this type of therapy in the PHILIPPINES? Found this online, in case you wanna check them out: OFFICIAL PAGE: http://www.hiccph.com/

Their LANDLINE: (02)-796-18-65 (02)-744-53-55 Someone posted this in a PhilStar article about Ozone therapy: "we offer ozone therapy. contact us at (+63)9266182969. located in Quezon City"
I also found this in a Manila Bulletin news article about the therapy: Ozone Therapy Center Ground Floor of the King’s Courts Building 1, along Chino Roces Avenue in Makati
EYE PROBLEMS RESULTING FROM STROKE The natural remedies are plenty of carrots and spinach. Also if you can get the tiny red peppers, they are very good for eyes.
TESTIMONIALS
From Mary Martinez: My brain aneurysm was cured. I took an ounce of Colloidal Copper and 15 mg of zinc. To stop toxicity I also took Butchers Broom. I did this for 6 months. This is how I took them. I would take 1 ounce of Colloidal Copper (liquid form) with a little water, waited then would take my butchers broom (940 MG) in a vitamin form (capsules) with zinc (15 mg). Waited 30 mins then I would eat my breakfast. I only took the dosage once a day in the morning. My doctor sent me to have a brain scan done with dye in it. A few hours later the tech who gave me the brain scan called me at home. He asked, "What was your reason for coming here?" I said "because I have a brain aneurysm." He asked, "Who told you that?" I said, "When I was in the hospital in Dec 2015 the doctors gave me an MRI." He said, "and you saw it?" I said, "Yes I did." He stood quite for a little while and then said, "I think you better talk to your doctor." Instead I went and picked up my x-rays of the brain scan and the report that came with it. It said, "Everything looks normal no evidence of a brain aneurysm!" I was in shock and happy after having a party to say goodbye to all my friends. Everyone I knew was praying for me. The worst were doctors from all over wanted to open up my head again. I really did not want this. I am so thankful to God and Bill for his help.
BOOK RECOMMENDATION The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge, M.D. Review From Publishers Weekly: "... stroke victim to recover the ability to walk although 97% of the nerves from the cerebral cortex to the spine were destroyed. With detailed case studies reminiscent of Oliver Sachs, combined with extensive interviews with lead researchers, Doidge, a research psychiatrist and psychoanalyst at Columbia and the University of Toronto, slowly turns everything we thought we knew about the brain upside down. He is, perhaps, overenthusiastic about the possibilities, believing that this new science can fix every neurological problem, from learning disabilities to blindness. But Doidge writes interestingly and engagingly about some of the least understood marvels of the brain. (Mar. 19)"
NOTES
Remember to take magnesium along with any supplemental vitamin D, or your calcium will deposit in your soft tissues instead of in your bones. Magnesium also assists with prevention of diabetes.
Fish oil oxidation is viewed by many people as damaging to the brain. Krill oil has an advantage over other omega 3 supplements because it absorbs better. Just be careful about over oxidation. It has been found over long term to even cause rodents to die an earlier death.
TIA - transient ischemic attack; precursor to stroke
