I hope they also create a law that would prohibit telephone loads from expiring. The telecom companies are already swimming in huge profits.

I also hope the government build huge modern main libraries in areas with big populations (like in downtown locations & commercial hubs) and big satellite libraries in highly populated neighborhoods (like they do in America), equipped with new computers and up-to-date books written not only by Filipino authors but also foreign ones.

This is part of the president's war on drugs, to turn ex-drug addicts into productive members of society.

I hope the government also build MAGNET SCHOOLS, like they do in the U.S., offering specialized curriculum which could include any of the following:

• Science - for our future scientists. We need more of them in our society.

• Technology - as more and more societies and economies are getting more based on technology, we should train our young students early. In the U.S., high school students are already being taught computer programming.

• Engineering

• Mathematics - for our math geniuses

• Fine and Performing Arts - for artistic minds. It's never too early to develop such interests in our young students

• International Studies

• Career and Technical Education

• World Languages - for high school students who want to learn foreign languages or those who want to major in foreign service.

Who'da thunk our most vicious World War II enemy would one day become one of our most generous ally or benefactor? Certainly not our people who lived during those dark days. But, THANK YOU, JAPAN!
