Fake News from the NRA & Conservatives
As much as I don't like MSM (mainstream media), I dislike the NRA even more. Here is the spokesperson of the NRA spewing fake news about MSM:

As someone who has lived 19 years, born and raised in the United States, a person who has been in school during several gun situations, has been shot at three blocks from his house, and a believer in Second Amendment rights ... I can safely say that while we should have the right to own a gun, we don't deserve or need to own a gun. There is no need for people to think that the Government is conspiring against them to take away a gun that is not needed and not important. I'm fine with hunting rifles. I'm fine with revolvers, double barrel shotguns, and other non-military grade weapons.
AR-15s are not used for hunting unless you're a legit psycho who SHOULD be monitored 24/7 by the FBI. AR-15s were designed with one purpose in mind. To kill and cripple a person to remove them from combat. What happened at that school was not combat, it was mass murder, pure slaughter of innocent children who were so close to becoming adults, as well as adults who were brave enough to take bullets for their students.
There is no acting, no fake news, no conspiracy. The fact that there are people out there who believe in that bullsh*t proves that we do not deserve to have these weapons.
Weapons were a necessity when the amendment was written because we had no standing army, we were a young nation that was ripe for conquering. Now we troop across the world, we have the most advanced weapon systems in the world. There is no need for more guns, guns became a privilege, a way of saying to the world, we are fighters, we are united, we are people who are mature enough to handle such power.
This shooting, as well as the hundreds of others each month, proves how wrong we are. How undeserving of this privilege we are. How childish and idiotic we are.
Those who attack those who stand against this violence, who hide behind theories and computer screens, prove how undeserving we are of this privilege.
People are dead, families are devastated, innocence has disappeared before spring. These theories are sick, childish, and wrong.
And I know people will speak against me, they have the right. I won't argue, I won't insult, I will be the adult here, say my piece and walk away. All I say to them is this:
You Are Wrong.
Fake news in certain forums or circles claiming the deaths of 17 children as being "staged" is sickening. Fake news claiming some of the students were actors is sickening. Some even say this shooting really didn't happen. WTF?!!! I watched one Republican official (her name escapes me atm) who blamed mass killings on Democrats. Some of the kids are receiving death threats from Alt-Right groups. Fox News is running some of these theories right now.
Here is one post that says the massacre was a hoax. Oh brother! How anyone can believe such a propaganda is beyond me.
CON-spiracy theorist Alex Jones claimed that school shootings are routinely faked to drum up support for gun control. A pro-gun advocate suggested on Twitter that the survivors of the Florida massacre were trained “crisis actors.” So those kids who died, they were just acting? So these kids risked their own lives just to push for banning assault rifles? Brilliant! I hope that guy didn't reproduce.
These spreaders of fake news prey on the ignorance and worst impulses of America's lowlives. The Russians are using these same people too. And so are the NRA and the politicians they send their green bucks to. Every single time there is a tragedy in America the conspiracy theorists come out of the woodwork & jump at the chance to display their idiocy. These people are so deluded they actually believe their own lies.
I really believe the Russians are engaged in spreading fake news & misinformation too about this Florida shooting and sowing discord in the US using social media. And I trust that most Americans are not as gullible or naive to believe the lies.

The antidote to fake news is not to enact more laws that could limit freedom of expression, but to provide stronger support for established news organisations and for news organizations to produce more accurate & timely news reports without injecting the reporters' personal opinions in those reports. Social Media has helped unmask Philippine mainstream media's bias and it being a mere propaganda machine.

Di lang pala issue ng fake news ito kundi hypocrisy din. Lawyer at doctor yung nilalait. Pero yung isang naging senador at congressman na nanglalait sa kanya walang naipasang batas na in-author nyang mag-isa.
