Why Mainstream Media Is Losing Credibility, People's Trust, Readership and Viewership

Reputable international news networks (are there any left?) should be more responsible about accurate reporting. Personal views should not be masquerading as news and news reporters who cannot write objectively should go find work in tabloids or write a column instead, since a column does not have to be balanced.
I wonder whatever happened to the code of ethics and canons of journalism? Down the sewers I suppose? SAD!!! *SHRUG* ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You don't have to be stupid to be a successful journalist these days, but it helps. You can't expect a "journalist" with an agenda to make logical conclusions. There are a significant number of media outlets now in the Philippines whose primary goal is no longer to inform.

The Anti-DU30 EDSA RALLY

The PRO-DU30 LUNETA RALLY

All I can say about the above is tight shots hide the TRUTH, a tactic regularly used by all YELLOW MSM reporters. Sorry, another click of the zoom out button will reveal the inescapable reality.

Ever notice how sparse anti-DU30 rallies draw? They couldn't even inspire enough people to show up in those rallies. In contrast, this is one of the pro-DU30 rallies (held in Hongkong):

Wide shot pa ito. Walang daya. Walang hakot. Walang bayad.

One TV report said there were about 200 students who participated in the recent U.P. rally. Another report estimated the protesters at about 1,000. So which number is correct? Consider the source when deciding which report to believe.

Glinda Guerrero made a comment on Twitter about the EDSA People Power Rally:
Parang sex lang ang People Power Revolution kung saan euphoric lang sa climax na EDSA Uno. Pero after that, sadsad na. Because Tita Cory didn't deliver. Massive brownouts, curtailment of the press, Mendiola Massacre, oligarchy cronyism, no genuine land reform.
Let's not forget the KKK corruption.

That's because the TRUTH & FACTS do not jibe with the YELLOW MSM's narrative.

"Change" to the YELLOW MEDIA is SCAMMING, if I may borrow one of their own slogans to badmouth the president.

Social media fills the void that traditional MSM have vacated in search of more fame & fortune. Social media is democratic. It reflects the true public consensus on any issue. It represents the true will of the people. It expresses the opinion of the majority, while not stifling dissenting voices.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Both ABS-CBN & GMA prime time news TV programs are doing the same. I thought it was just a slow news week but then it's happening almost every night & every week. So I find myself channel surfing to find better & unbiased news coverage.
The militants, LP politicians, millennials, & other DU30 critics keep insisting that the president is stifling PRESS FREEDOM. Mainstream media never really challenged that allegation or accusation.
In the U.S. journalists' access to White House press briefings or press conferences can be restricted. Journalists could be banned if ordered by the president. Rappler & Filipino journalists, get used to it.
